Healing Sense Aromatherapy

I am still buzzing!!  Yesterday, I had the glorious opportunity to attend a truly inspired and inspiring workshop on Aromatherapy by Katie Buggs of KatybugsHealingsense: Aromatherapy and Holistic Blends.  During the workshop, we worked together to become very familiar with each of the oils in Katie’s Reiki Essential Oil Kit.  What I truly came to appreciate in a whole new way is that the plants of this planet function as distillations of divine consciousness articulated into material form.  They have distinctive energies; each plant resonates at a particular megahertz; they can gently and subtly assist in helping us to calm, uplift, release, relieve physical pain, open up to more love and forgiveness.  They have so much to share with us.

I splurged and bought Katie’s magnificent “Plant Sense” Card Deck so that I could widen my knowledge about each of the plants and oils that she blends.

Thank you, Katie Buggs, for being such a profoundly humble, gracious, incredibly knowledgable and kind ambassador for the plant kingdom.  My gratitude is immeasurable.

Plant life, and our relationship with them is a whole new dimension of thinking and seeing our world. It requires a complete paradigm shift. You are right to feel so blessed. It is a wonderfully beautiful journey. I hope you’ll share your unique stories with us. I’m already looking forward to your blogs! Love Yaz

    • What sweet, sweet words, Yaz. I agree with you completely–a complete paradigm shift is underway, the perception of which I personally find to be accessed more by experience of being than by doing. Thanks for reading and joining in the conversation.

  2. Thank you dear Angela… I think I need to own Katie’s card deck as well. Always dabbling in the essential oils and have had healers work with them for me – but maybe this would be a way to really become fluent. Sounds like a wonderful workshop ~ so glad you got to enjoy it… Much Love and Blessings for you, Robyn

  3. thank you for posting this! the plant deck is something right up my mom’s alley and would make a wonderful gift

  4. I love aromatherapy! The cards sound very interesting and beautiful. I shall have to investigate whether I can get them here.
All the best to you 🙂

  6. Lovely post. I think of plants as elder siblings. They’ve marked the way ahead of us, and keep nudging us forward.

Hi Again! I’ve nominated you for the One Lovely Blog Award on the basis that I love reading what you have to say. I look beyond your words and try to see more of you than you give away so I can feel a stronger bond in the spirit. Thank you for sharing your journey through life and for giving your readers some serious food for thought. I know that some of you do not accept awards, and some have received the same from others. Please receive it in the heart, if not through the usual channels! Best wishes always, Yaz.

Holy freaking crap. I was so deeply touched, moved, and inspired by this, I cant even explain it. This is incredibly profound. I cant wait for my walk tomorrow morning to see what messages the birch trees and ferns and just the general ‘weeds’ around the neighborhood tell me. Thank you 🙂

    • Thank you so much for leaving such an enthusiastic comment! This is something that I suspect indigenous and shamanic cultures have always known, but much of the world has forgotten. I hope your walk is uplifting and joyful as you tune into what the plants have to say!! Peace and blessings!!

  9. Aromatherapy is new to me but the lovely card decks by Katie look fascinating! What do you recommend for a beginner like me to start using? Is it safe for children? Some years back I tried lavender oil which I dropped onto a pumice like stone but I can’t really say if I noticed it had an effect on me or not. Thanks for your time Angela! Shaz

  10. Oh, how I wish I could take advantage of aromatherapy for healing, but I am so highly chemically and fragrance sensitive, that even essential oils and natural fragrances make me very ill. Very frustrating. Lavender is often recommended, but I get very sick from the smell. It sounds fascinating to learn the information from the plant deck, just for reference. Perhaps someday I will encounter something that I am not sensitive to.

    • How frustrating that must be, Fergiemoto. My partner is an homeopathic allergy elimination practitioner, and I am fascinated by her work and really feel for people with such harsh allergies. Are you allergic to the plants themselves? Perhaps having sandalwood beads, for example, or a Rosewood box–or something–could offer a bit of the energetic qualities of the plants? And, yes–her deck is really worth getting. It’s very informative and truly lovely. Best wishes to you.

  11. There are so many uses for aromatherapy that would obviously take a whole book to go into properly. Not only can it relax, it can rejuvenate, help heal and is also great for babies! Certainly an area worth looking into to. Keep it natural!
