Bush, “Buddhism and Terrorism”

The Buddhist Channel published this really interesting editorial by Wayne Codling, which poses the question,

“What if President Bush were a fundamentalist Buddhist instead of a born-again Christian? How might he approach the problem of terrorism from the pratityasamutpada point of view?”

What do you think of his ideas?

    If Bush were a Buddhist:
    Our response to 9-11 would have been compassion. I can’t even imagine Americans, let alone Bush, responding in that way.
